Welcome home Williams II on Saturday June 1st 2019.
The open day is from 11.00am until 2.00pm with the Williams II entering the port with a parade of sail (weather dependant!) at mid-day and alongside at the workshop at 1.00pm.
It’s been an amazing achievement not only for our project but also for the people of Blyth, sailing around the UK on a 100 year old wooden boat and 130 people including many trainees over 10 legs.
The crews will all have incredible memories of the challenges and joys of life aboard the Williams II in company with so many new friends.
We have also had employees from Port of Blyth and Catapult aboard as well which has been a great corporate tie up.
It’s been an amazing journey for all those involved and I hope you share our feeling of pride and achievement of the charity’s outcomes and ability to go beyond the norm so far?
11.00am we open the quayside area of our workspace and Williams ll berth to the public for our Tall Ship arrival from its Round Great Britain Voyage.
At 1.00pm Williams ll arrives on her home berth with her accompanying flotilla of local yachts harbour craft and Blyth Community Rowing Club and Guest Skiffs
The quayside and entertainment will continue up to 2.00pm when our event will come to a close.
