The joys of Heritage Sailing! We have been having successive worsening of water in our gear box oil since leaving Blyth.

We knew there was a very minor leak through a prop shaft gland which was manageable but eventually we identified the heat exchanger was the worsening problem.

So out it came and was pronounced defunct by the engineer. A new part was available but could not be guaranteed delivery by Tuesday, so off we went to pick it up ourselves.

SE traffic reminds us how wonderful it is to live in Northumberland!
