Blyth Maritime Festival

This is a fantastic event that occurs annually in the Port of Blyth. It acts as Blyth's summer fair and hosts the Northumberland Plate. It attracts thousands of people and has had a huge impact on community spirit and enterprise.

Blyth Tall Ship are proud to be involved in the Festival and we look forward to this year’s event.

The event always occurs on the first weekend in June and features heritage boats maritime vessels of all kinds, a racing programme on the river, community stalls, live music and a fair.

Operating between 10am and 6pm on the Saturday and 10am and 4pm on the Sunday ending with a parade of sail.

It is the result of a collaboration between Blyth Tall Ship Project, Blyth Development Trust, The Port of Blyth, The Royal Northumberland Yacht Club, the RNLI and many other community groups.

Blyth Regatta aims to build on the legacy of the 2016 Tall Ship regatta entertaining, educating and inspiring the Blyth community with its maritime heritage and future.
